In line with the 3 group research groups on the Research Group page, the community and scientific development are as follows:

Citizenship Philosophy and Political Research Group

The research conducted by this research group in previous years (2017, 2018, 2019) has produced several findings on citizenship issues in philosophy and politics. For example, the themes on citizenship attributes, citizen identity and character, citizen rights, conflict, community, local democracy, Pancasila ideology, values ​​and norms, and regional resilience. The above themes are included in the UNS research theme category Number 7 National Integration and Social Harmony and Number 12 Human Development and National Competitiveness.

These themes are continued to further deepen, enrich and broaden the issues of citizenship in the field of philosophy and politics (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). it will be the object of study on the academic dimension of Civics. For example, producing indicators of the character of Indonesian citizens based on PPK (Strengthening Character Education) policies, anti-radicalism characters, Pancasila characters, democratic characters. The issue of citizenship can then be used as a source and reference for Citizenship Education material.

The research results will be published in scientific articles in journals, proceedings, reference books and socialization through various academic activities. The main target is that research results will enrich Civics learning resources in the curricular and community pathways. Thus learning resources for Civics both at the school and tertiary level. In this way, Civics through the curricular and social pathways are not only sourced from books and formal documents but are based on research results.

 

Citizenship Learning and Education Research Group

The Citizenship Education and Learning Group Research is a research group that examines strategic and innovative steps in designing Pancasila Education and Citizenship Education lessons in order to achieve the expected competencies through the development of education 4.0-oriented design, curriculum, teaching materials, approaches, models, media and evaluation. Apart from that, it also focuses on empowering citizens in the sense of individuals and communities in order to fulfill citizens' rights in the context of Citizenship Education.

This group's research roadmap is based on linkages with the LPPM UNS Research Business Strategic Plan (RSBP) for the field of Human Development and National Competitiveness which has the goal of realizing independent Indonesian people through self-empowerment, educators and education staff, schools/universities, families and society with the aim of realizing intelligent, character and competitive human beings.

The results of research and community service to the Citizenship Learning and Education Research Group are in the form of publication of scientific articles in national and international journals and proceedings, as well as learning products that are continuously developed with the PPKn FKIP UNS laboratory to support the learning process in the field of Civics studies.

Law and Citizenship Research Group

The focus of research studies on the Law and Citizenship Group is in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 38 of 2018 concerning the National Research Master Plan (RIRN) 2017-2045, Permeristekdikti Number 38 of 2019 concerning National Research Priorities (PRN) 2020-2024 and Research Master Plan (RIP UNS) because the main goal of this research was to participate in the development of 13 (thirteen) UNS research themes which were adapted to the research themes formulated by RISTEK and the National Innovation System (SINAS).

The Law and Citizenship Research Group (RGHK) focuses on research and service in the field of Law and Citizenship. The Group's research focuses on Legal Awareness and Legal Education which examines further related to students as the nation's future which is very important to form a good citizen attitude so that they are able to become citizens who have good legal awareness. The research results are expected to be a reference for lecturers at UNS in particular, and in general for lecturers at other tertiary institutions as well as future researchers as an effort to form good citizens among students.

Outcome findings and innovations from research and community service Research on Law and Citizenship Group is carried out in the form of (1) Scientific publications in Scopus indexed proceedings at the International Conference on Citizenship Education and Democratic Issues (ICCEDI) and the International Conference on Social Sciences and Educatin (ICSSE), (2) E-books with ISBNs in the form of project-based learning strategies (PBP) books in the Citizenship Education course to form good citizen students through LMS SPADA UNS, (3) Intellectual Property Rights.
