The Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program is a study program and a department at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University. Based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 222/Dikti/Kep/96 on July 11, 1996. And signed by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education. The month and year of the commencement of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program were July 11, 1996, with the Operational Permit Decree number 6551/D/T/K-N/2011, and the date of the Operational Permit Decree was 21 April 2011.
The Pancasila Education and Citizenship Study Program’s latest accreditation rating is A, based on BAN-PT SK number 3506/SK/BAN-PT/AKRED/S/IX/2019. This study program has a total number of 18 lecturers, with a percentage of 30% S2 lecturers and 70% S3 lecturers and one professor. Graduates of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program have many job opportunities, including becoming PKN teachers, PKN consultants or PKN book writers.
The profiles of graduates of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program are as follows: Educators in the IKn and Civic fields are graduates of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) who can plan, implement and assess learning in the areas of IKn and Civics based on Technological, Pedagogical, Content Knowledge (TPACK) as a form of devotion to society. Researchers in the field of Civics and Civics are Civics graduates who can plan, implement and publish descriptive research in the area of Civics and Civics in scientific journals. Curriculum Development & Teaching Materials IKn and Civics are Civics graduates who can develop materials or curriculum content for citizenship education as teaching materials at the primary and secondary education levels. Entrepreneurs in the field of Education are PPKn graduates who can create and manage business opportunities in the field of education as a reflection of their life skills and hard skills.
